Project Overview

As one of the region’s largest and oldest land and watershed conservation organizations, The Conservation Foundation had a wealth of valuable content—but accessing it was a challenge. Their existing site lacked clear navigation and an intuitive search function, making it difficult for users to find relevant resources, events, and initiatives. The goal of this redesign was to create a modern, responsive website that streamlined content discovery, improved engagement, and better reflected the organization’s mission.

The Experience.

A strong user experience was at the core of this project. By analyzing user behavior and content structure, I developed a new navigation system that prioritizes clarity and efficiency, helping visitors quickly find the information they need. A more robust search function was implemented, allowing users to filter results and access resources with ease.

To enhance content accessibility and relevance, I converted media and key content into custom post types, enabling an automated system where related posts, articles, and media dynamically populate relevant pages. This ensures that users always see the most pertinent information without unnecessary searching. The result is a website that not only organizes vast amounts of content more effectively but also guides users seamlessly through The Conservation Foundation’s initiatives, projects, and educational resources.

Mobile First.

The Website.
The Screens

The redesigned site delivers a clean, full-screen, and responsive experience that adapts effortlessly across devices. Thoughtful improvements in content structuring, navigation, and automated content feeds create a more intuitive and engaging experience for visitors. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with users noting the ease of access to information and the streamlined experience compared to the previous site.

By focusing on usability, accessibility, and intelligent content delivery, the new website transforms how The Conservation Foundation shares its mission—ensuring that anyone looking to get involved, learn, or take action can do so effortlessly.
